Kight PowerHub proud to support Scottish Housing Day 2026

Organisations across Scotland will mark Scottish Housing Day 2026, this year focused on the theme Healthy Homes, Healthy Futures.

Kight PowerHub is proud to support the campaign and its focus on the important relationship between housing, health and wellbeing.

A healthy home is about more than bricks and mortar. It should be warm, safe and affordable to live in, giving people the confidence to use their home without worrying constantly about the cost of heating, cooking or everyday energy use.

That is particularly important in social housing, where high energy costs can have a direct impact on comfort, wellbeing and household finances.

Kight has been working with Scottish housing partners to explore how smarter domestic energy storage can help. In one Scottish Borders Housing Association home, tenant Mrs Allison had previously reduced heating and avoided cooking during peak periods because of concerns about electricity costs. Following the installation of solar PV and a Kight PowerHub, she reported reduced anxiety about her bills, greater confidence heating her home and had started baking again.

Her experience is a useful reminder that the value of energy technology should ultimately be measured in the difference it makes to people’s everyday lives.

Scottish Housing Day is highlighting examples from across the sector showing how investment in homes and services can support physical health, mental wellbeing and stronger communities. Kight is pleased to add its support to that conversation.
